So I would like to introduce you all to a little thing I like to call my Mark Sanchez theory. I’ve had enough of people complaining to me about how Mark Sanchez isn’t good enough for the Jets to be a good team, that you can’t be a playoff team with your quarterback being your weakest asset. Yea it sounds good when you say it and it makes some people feel smart but in reality if you’re talking to someone who knows what they are talking about then you just look silly. It is just flat out wrong. How do I know that the Jets can be a playoff team with Mark Sanchez being their worst starter? Well for one thing they did it last year. Another is that the Ravens won a Super Bowl that way in 2000. Lastly just in case you don’t remember, the Jets were 30 minutes away from making the Super Bowl last year.
So really all Sanchez has to do is play no worse than he did last year, which is pretty bad, and the Jets will have a shot at the playoffs. Ill repeat that again all he has to do is play only as bad as he did last year and the Jets could make the playoffs. That’s him throwing 28 interceptions this year and the Jets can make the playoffs. However if you really think that Sanchez isn’t going to have a better year than that then you also might be stupid. How can he not have a better year when after the first 4 games he will have all of these insanely awesome targets at his disposal: Santonio Holmes, Braylon Edwards, Jerricho Cotchery, Brad Smith, Dustin Keller and LdT. Wow!!!! That’s really all I can manage to say.
I’m pretty sure that he is going to do better than he did last year, but if he doesn’t the Jets can always go 9-7 and make the playoffs and then just dominate like they did last year.
