There are many players on the offensive side of the ball who deserve to get the game ball for the Jets week three victory in Miami. I am however going to award it to two players in particular, Dustin Keller and Marc Sanchez. The reason why they are both getting the game ball is that they both seem to officially be coming of age at the same time. Keller so far throughout his career has been in my eyes potentially the best hidden weapon in football. There are two reasons for this, one for each his first two seasons. In year one he was completely overshadowed by the Brett Favre saga. Then last year he completely got lost in the abomination that was Sanchez’s regular season. As for Sanchez, these past two weeks he has finally proved that he has it in him to lead the Jets down the field when it truly matters, in the 4th quarter against a good defense.
If these last two weeks mean anything it could prove to be that after all the weapons Tannenbaum went out and got for the sanchize that his best asset will end up being Keller, who has been here all along.
